AN INVITE TO FASHION DESIGNERS
Dear designer and friend,
we are sure you are aware of the devasting earthquakes hitting the north of Italy these last months.
The first earthquake, registering magnitude 6.1, struck in the Emilia-Romagna region, on 20 May 2012.
Two aftershocks of magnitude 5.2 occurred few hours after the main event and seven people were killed.
Nine days later, on May 29, a magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck the same area causing an additional eighteen deaths and widespread damage, particularly to buildings already weakened by the 20 May earthquake.
And again on June 3, 4 and 6 aftershakes struck the region, causing panic between people, who still don’t know if this incubus is going to continue…
The damages of these earthquakes are terrible: 26 people died and thousands are homeless, living in tents.
The whole economy of the country was brought to its knees.
WHAT IS HOPE FOR EMILIA?
Hope For Emilia is an exciting event that will last from July 22 to August 9, 2012 and will include a Summer Fashion Fair, ashion shows, an art expo and entertaiment events to fundraise for the victims of earthquake in Emilia (Italy).
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO BE PART OF THE SUMMER FAIR?
We are asking for donations which will purchase your store space for the duration of the event. 100% of the store cost will be donated to victims of the earthquake through the bank account opened by Emilia-Romagna region
This can be paid at the time of your confirmation directly to the account of the event: hopeforemilia Resident.
We will have three available store sizes you can choose:
-Large (100 prims): L$1,500
-Medium (50 prims) L$1,000
-Small (20 prims): L$500
VENDORS AND SPLIT INFORMATION
We are asking that 100% proceeds of at least ONE EXCLUSIVE ITEM be donated to the charity (for exclusive item we mean a new and never released item).
Please keep in mind that the theme of the fashion fair is SUMMER, please take this season as inspiration for your exclusive item/s.
You may keep the sales profit of all other items you offer in your store space.
Of course we appreciate a lot if you wish to donate the proceeds of more than one item.
For your exclusive charity item/s, we will happily provide you with the vendor.
TRANSPARENCY OF TRANSACTIONS
hopeforemilia Resident is the new avatar created for this event. All transactions will go through this account and all transaction history will be publicized on this blog. All transaction history, participating creator names, raised amounts, schedules, and anything else related to the event, will be located here.
100% of donations will be donated to the victims of the earthquake in Emilia (Italy), and all of the transactions will be released to the public.
Thalia Heckroth has kindly donated the use of a sim and two sims have been generously donated by Alexander Vargas for Hope For Emilia event. We are extremely grateful for their donations and will provide a lm of the sims closer to the opening of the event.

By submitting your application you clearly accept the following conditions:
– To pay your store fee no later then July 12th.
A receipt of your payment will be sent by Anna Sapphire as soon as we receive it.
– To have everything set up and ready by July 20th.
If you are not set up by opening time and we haven’t heard from you, we will feel free to delete your space. No refunds will be made in this case.
– Every store must have at least ONE EXCLUSIVE ITEM.
The exclusive item(/s) must be new and never released and you can’t sell it anywhere until the end of the event. The exclusive item(/s) must be inspired by summer season.
– The position of your store will be at the discretion of Hope For Emilia organization.
In order to ensure that the event is successful for everyone, we do our best to make a perfect map for new and well known brands.
Please keep in mind that it’s impossible to put every brand at the landing point, and we spend time and energies to guarantee that everybody gets a good exposure.
– You are not obliged to send review copies to bloggers. Even if we encourage you to do it, it’s your choice.
The list of the official bloggers of the event will be provided closer to the set up date.
By submitting your application you clearly accept to respect the following deadlines:
– July 12th: ALL STORES FEES MUST BE PAID
– July 17th: SET UP OF STORES STARTS – Please be patient and wait for a member of the staff to contact you.
– July 19th: DESIGNERS CAN SEND THEIR EXCLUSIVE ITEMS TO THEIR OWN BLOGGERS AND TO HOPE FOR EMILIA BLOGGERS
– July 20th: ALL STORES MUST BE SET UP AND READY
– July 21st: OPENING TO BLOGGERS AND PRESS MEMBERS
– July 22nd: OPENING TO THE PUBLIC
– August 9th: CLOSING DAY
